About Wolf Medical Systems
Wolf Medical Systems is a leading national provider of electronic medical
records (EMR) software for physician offices and medical clinics across
Canada. Founded in 1998, the company has hundreds of installed sites across
Canada. Wolf's EMR software includes a complete set of physician-designed
applications that automate the unique processes of billing, scheduling,
workflow planning, chronic disease management and clinical practice for
physician offices and medical clinics within the context of each province's
unique regulatory environments.
Wolf is one of the few original vendors whose applications have been VCUR-compliant
in Alberta since the beginning of the program in 2002. Wolf is also a
certified vendor by OntarioMD, serving physicians and healthcare
practitioners in Ontario since 2004. Wolf is a pioneer in the intersection
of technology and clinical and operational best practices for physicians,
and a leader in primary care reform in Canada and British Columbia. Wolf is
a founding member of Canadian Healthcare Information Technology Trade
Association (CHITTA); Dr. Brendan Byrne is the President of the BC chapter
of CHITTA, and the company is a member of Healthcare Information and
Management Systems Society and Medical Software Vendors of BC. In spring
2006, Dr. Byrne founded the Council for High Performance Medicine, a
vendor-neutral forum for physicians to share their experiences with EMR with
other physicians with the goal of surfacing best practices for EMR adoption.
The council members include other vendors, industry leaders, and technology
leaders including Microsoft, Toshiba, and Hewlett Packard. |
